My daughter’s birthday is in July. I was stumped on what to do to help celebrate her day during the pandemic. I mean, I love throwing parties! I live for planning them. What is a birthday without a party?
I was venting to a friend and she said to me “Have you been to Tasty’s Bagels?”
I thought to myself, “What does a coffee shop have to do with anything?”
My friend continued, telling me that Tasty’s had kept the frozen yogurt machines from the former froyo shop that had been there before Tasty’s came in! I had been under the impression that Tasty’s was simply a new coffee shop known for their bagels (and rightfully so!).
My mind was blown. My guess is that some of you didn’t know either! That day, my sweet friend delivered a gift card to my daughter for her birthday. Done deal!
I kept it quiet and surprised the kids on Teaghan's birthday with a trip to Tasty's. Froyo for breakfast it was! I wish I had thought to snap a photo of my kid's faces looking through the glass at all the toppings!
But how do you make a sundae without touching everything and spreading your germs? Glad you asked! Tasty’s offers a full-service sundae bar! You take a sheet of paper and check off the flavor of froyo you want as well as all the toppings you desire, and then hand it your order slip off to an employee. Bam! So smart! And now have a new birthday tradition in our home!
While I was waiting for my coffee order, I checked out the menu and was really impressed. There are handmade breakfast sandwiches, acai bowls, all the coffee, fresh bagels, and so much more! BTW, my iced cappuccino was perfection! (And cheaper than the chain stores!)
Another cool thing is that Tasty’s also has a drive-thru! You can support local without having to get out of your car! Major bonus, especially in these times!
Sadly, the sundae bar is temporarily unavailable. The good news is that it is coming back closer to summer! Check Tasty’s Facebook for the scoop! You can, however, make an awesome salad at the salad bar right now! You guessed it, full service! Covid-friendly and safe!
